GABRIEL
During the good times of Lebanon, and years before the war started, both the arts and the musical scene were at their highest points. Lebanon used to be called the "small Switzerland" of the Middle East, and was the hub for both culture enthusiasts and tourists at the same time.

Eddie’s father, Gabriel, had founded the Lebanese Jazz Club in 1954, which was known as “ Le Jazz Club du Liban”. The club featured most of the prominent American Jazz artists who visited Lebanon during the 1950’s and 1960’s. Among others were Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington,  Josephine Baker , as well as French singers as Charles Trenet, Gilbert Becaud, Charles Aznavour and many more.
